Up All Night
Up All Night. One Direction. November 18, 2011. Syco Records.
Genre:
Pop
CD Summary:
The CD, like most other teen artists, deals with romance. Because the songs are sung by boys rather than girls, the focus is more on how a girl needs to be treated from a boy’s point of view rather than a girl singing about how she wants to be treated. The lyrics can be trite, but the music is fun and catchy.
Critical Evaluation:
One Direction follows the boy band formula of the past: five cute boys with decent voices singing to girls about how they’d treat them right if they were your boyfriend. There is no new territory on this album, but it will be enjoyable for it's intended audience.
